Debate Democracy - Exemples 2
Debate democracy makes it possible to create a living democracy by giving a voice to civil society. We can imagine all kinds of associations, or cultural movements, expressing themselves with a wide audience.
Environmental associations could be active in the media. This is a topical issue, we are in the process of destroying the planet! And such associations could bring this fact to light.
The alter-globalists could act on international problems, in struggle against capitalism and finance. Two dangers for our planet.
An example of a cultural movement is "Arts and Culture of France". Defending our culture and creating international cultural exchanges allows us to foster friendship between peoples.
Of course, we must talk about the "Humanitarian and Solidarity" associations that could campaign in public for national and international solidarity.
Or "Our friends the animals", for the defense of animal welfare and biodiversity.
European policies suffer from a great opacity, "Europe and the Europeans" allows us to lift the veil and to engage Europeans in dialogue.
A cultural movement in Germany could be "Das Land Goethes". It is the German version of "Art and Culture of France".
The debate democracy allows a real vitality of democracy to express itself. No doubt more citizens will feel concerned and will get involved in cultural, associative and trade union circles. It also allows for an ambitious cultural policy with subsidies, for cinema or cultural events.

A. The ecologists
![]() |
| If the ancient Egyptians had nuclear power plants, we would be managing their waste! |
Homo Sapiens, the descendant of Cro-Magnon man, the cousin of Neanderthals, has acquired such power that he is destroying the planet. It sends robots, guided by artificial intelligence, to explore Mars. He walked on the Moon. Satellites flew by Neptune, Jupiter, and Jupiter's moons Io and Europa. But he is in the process of ransacking planet Earth. We must learn to master our technologies responsibly. Otherwise, our children and grandchildren are facing serious disasters, not to mention the loss of life caused by environmental degradation. At the UN, we must affirm a human right "of future generations to enjoy a preserved environment". The destiny of humanity is to conquer the galaxy. Man is predestined to settle on other planets. But in what state are we going to leave ours? Will the cradle of humanity be ransacked by the time some of us go beyond the solar system or simply to the planet Mars?
Ecology is life. It is respect for nature, for what is alive. This is our human life, because we cannot live without nature. We have to anticipate ecological problems! We need to put in place a policy that is improperly called "decrease". It is more a question of ecological choices in production, more than of voluntarily reducing the economy. We must act responsibly, even if it means curbing certain polluting consumption and thinking about the issue of natural resources. These resources are not inexhaustible, of course. Capitalism is responsible for this! Is it capable of existing without ransacking the planet? Doesn't the lure of profit, the search for the lowest possible production costs, endanger the future of our children? I am worried. We are heading straight for a major ecological disaster.
Capitalism, in its quest for profits, has set up many lobbies over governments and the media. Their aim is to encourage the consumption of polluting products and avoid ecological standards. It is undeniable that these groups have a significant impact on the politics of the West, the rich countries, which sets a very bad example for other countries, and has repercussions, in the form of anti-ecological policies, on all developing countries. These pressure groups and more generally the capitalized logic that motivates them, will be the ones responsible. It is urgent for humanity to put an end to this system and to set up an after-sales service for capitalization, i.e. socialized and etymologically responsible economies, in democratic regimes.
The ecologists will be able to run for in debate democracy, they will have to respect the separation of powers. And they will be able to say that if the ancient Egyptians had nuclear power plants, we would still be cleaning up their waste.
B. The alter-globalization
![]() |
| Attac and Solidaires deprived of demonstrations in Paris: "This freedom to demonstrate is being eroded. We have an increasingly brutal government" |
We can imagine alter-globalization groups, such as ATTAC, accessing the media. They would have the opportunity to broadcast documentaries on how our multinationals create profit and lower prices. Western consumers are taking advantage of this and in the end the wealth of billionaires is increasing more and more. In France too, to satisfy these gentlemen, social rights are unravelled and even our democratic values are called into question. These billionaires want it all! Internationally, the Western peoples will see in the face how they use forced labor, child labor, how they exploit and create misery and wars, how their unions are oppressed, how nature is murdered, all for a few euros less on our shoes and a little more on their stock market index. The truth about globalization must be told. We must tell the truth about how millions of human beings suffer for our well-being. They would have the opportunity to question the politicians, to ask them for a program. Obviously, it will be possible to demolish the image of a politician who does not keep his promises. The truth must be told about the way in which international institutions and treaties impose their choices on governments. How international finance retaliates against people who do not act according to its taste. We must tell the truth about how globalization is destroying our democracies.
C. Art and culture of France
France is beautiful, its music, its culture, its monuments. From Marseille, Lyon, or Paris, our architecture moves us. It is our identity, an identity open to other cultures, open to exchanges. The world is made up of humans with each people having its own culture and identity. Culture is a bridge between peoples. We have to stop the McDonald's culture. Let's be proud of our Camembert, the cream of French gastronomy. You have to support her art, her culture, make her rich and proud. Encouraging culture is a humanistic act. Could we create a world music festival? Can this be done on August 26, in homage to the Human Rights Declaration of 1789? The goal is to show other peoples our culture and take an interest in theirs. It is a way of encouraging the friendship of peoples. This implies fighting against xenophobia, racism and any attack on human dignity.
D. Humanitaires et solidaires

The title sums up my idea well. International humanitarian associations and solidarity associations in European nations had to join forces to defend all those who are suffering. Discussing crises and how humanitarian aid arrives, encourages citizens to be generous. These principles also apply to the nation. The existence of a fourth world is a shame for a rich country like her.
These courageous people, because to go and provide humanitarian aid in a conflict zone, you need courage, deserve our attention. Access to the media, like for others, allows you to create a community. It is to share and encourage the values of generosity, for every human being.
E. Nos amis les animaux

| Lydia Guevara, granddaughter of Ernesto Che Guevara, in a campaign for vegetarianism (PETA). |
Animal rights and animal welfare advocates, who speak out. We must fight against abandonment, cruelty to animals. Fighting for biodiversity. This movement is for all those who love animals. No doubt, vegans will like this project. It highlights the bonds that unite us to our pets. It carries as a value, respect for farm animals. How can we tolerate their suffering and fears? Shouldn't they automatically stun them during slaughter? Only religious motivations should be an exception.
Then there is the issue of biodiversity. For every human being, it is an inestimable asset.
Like the other projects of debate democracy, such a project encourages associative life, in this case in favor of animal rights and animal welfare.
F. Europe and Europeans.

| For social Europe. |

| Europe |
To talk about Europe is to talk about diversity. We all have our identity, our culture, our habits, our traditions. Yet, despite this, we have a common foundation, democracy, human rights, a certain vision of social policy and a deep desire for peace. To speak of a European people is an absurd thing. It would not be necessary for us all to be forced to learn Esperanto. We do have a common history and how many times have we gutted each other? Moreover, Europe creates a common destiny.
Such a group can act in different ways. A show, where the different points of view are shown and discussed. With information deciphering the events within the European institutions. The idea is to show the different issues and to present the debates within the main actors and projects. I would be very happy if the LEA (Left European Autonomist – see Europe page) was present.
G. Das Land Goethes
I propose a movement, "das Land Goethes" (Our Goethe Country), would be a German identity and anti-hate movement. La lorelai, Marlene Dietrich, their novelists, their poets, and of course Goethe. German cinema has been noticed by very good films, Good Bye Lenin, The Lives of Others, The Wave, among others. Their anthem could be "99 luftballons" by Nena, a pacifist song from the 80s, it was an international success.
As "Art and Culture of France", the goal is to bring people together, in Europe and internationally. Creating cultural exchanges with the EU allows people to get to know each other better and to forge links. The more confident we feel about our own culture, our own identity, the more likely we are to take an interest in those of others. This goes further than simply rejecting xenophobia, racism or more generally human dignity (these are also our values), it is promoting the friendship of peoples.
H. conclusion
I end on these three films, with a real human dimension. Debate democracy is also that. We must encourage culture. On this page on debate democracy, I have presented the ecologist actors. Then the influence that the anti-globalists can take. Then came Art and Culture of France, to create cultural exchanges between peoples. Humanitarian and solidarity associations have their place here. For those who love animals, the democracy of debate can give them a voice. And why not create programmes on Europe? To finish "Das Land Goethes", which is the German version of "Art and Culture of France".I dream of a world where democracy is established everywhere, with citizens who show wisdom, where there are no longer very rich or poor. No one would be left by the wayside. All mankind would live properly. Wars would no longer exist and international exchanges would be carried out through culture and sport.Last modified on Saturday 02th of August 2025 at 04:32 pm |
